Cisco Networking Academy (netacad) is an IT skills and career building program that works in 180 countries for more than 20 years. Netacad has created a pipeline of technical talent ready to innovate and shape the future impacting the lives of 7,8 million students. There are 22,000 educators at 10,400 academies around the world. $2,6 billion of contribution has made netacad in tools, resources, and support to students, universities and instructors. Goal of netacad by 2025 is to help bringing benefits of digitization to one billion people by empowering individuals and organizations with problem-solving skills and transformative technologies. Structure of the Cisco Networking Academy

  • Cisco Academy – CA, the academy that educates students and provides certifications.

  • Academy Support Center – ASC, provides service for creating new Cisco Networking Academies for schools, colleges and universities. Helps to integrate courses of academy into curriculum of the education organization. Organizes master classes, seminars and forums for netacad instructors.

  • Instructor Training Center – ITC, prepares new instructors. Organizes instructor trainings and accredits new instructors.


Cisco Networking Academy under Suleyman Demirel University (SDU)

The Cisco Networking Academy under SDU was opened in 2006 by instructor Talgat Nurlybayev. In 2008 Azamat Zhamanov became a head of the academy, since that time more than 2000 students were enrolled, successfully passed career ready courses and received certifications.

Starting from 2014 CA under SDU took statuses of ASC and ITC. The same year 70 new instructors passed successfully trainings and became accredited instructors at CA. 35 new academies opened under school network “Bilim Innovation Schools – BIL”. In the period from 2016 to 2018 more than 100 instructors were prepared and about 70 new academies were opened with the help of ASC/ITC under SDU. Currently more than 100 academies almost from all regions of Kazakhstan under support of SDU’s ASC.

  • In 2016, Academy Support Center under SDU recognized with “ASC Premier+” status of partnership (the best status of partnership in Cisco Networking Academy program), Berlin – Germany.

  • In 2018, Academy Support Center under SDU recognized with “ASC Premier+” status of partnership, Marrakech – Morocco.

Mission: Prepare international specialist in field of computer networks, IoT and ICT. Train and accredit high quality instructors of CA for schools, colleges and universities in Central Asia.
